We are a newly established collective active in the disciplines of architecture, spatial design, engineering, and theater. As writers, builders, mediators, and researchers, we bridge gaps between these cross-related fields, joined together by our shared interest in the study of 'hidden typologies' in socio-spatial contexts. As a quartet, we thrive in collaboration with others who share our ‘why’ of challenging existing institutions.
We aim to imbue polyvalency and ambiguity in urban structures, rendering these spaces as responsive and active, rather than passive. We share a belief in 'looking through the concealed' and 'putting on a soft gaze' so to bridge the imaginary boundaries, disconnecting different practices. As such, we adopt the meta-methodology of designing a novel methodology to challenge the status quo from a spatial perspective.
We collectively explore and work on concepts such as architecture as theatre, metamethodologies, soft architectures, urban reappropriation, and temporary inhabitations. We extensively use and continually expand a glossary as a language exploration tool.
